This classic is my all time favourite and I still hear at various bars and pubs getting played.

It has that soothing and yet awesome beat to it that just gets me singing along.

Is anyone out there a fan?

I'm a big fan thanks to my dad always playing it, good because I did enjoy it. It's a very relaxing kind of song that can also be danced to, well more like swaying our bodies from side to side. Wish more of this type of music was still made.

This song reminds me of my childhood and even if I am not the biggest fan, I do enjoy it. I would not associate this song with reggae to be honest because if I am not mistaken Simply Red is an Irish band? OK, just used google and saw that UB40 played, Neil Diamond played and Bob Marley played. I am guessing your favorite version is from Bob Marley @Decentlady?

I'm a big fan and I actually heard it 2 hours ago, haha. I personally don't like red wine or have ever had a sip of it but I really like the rhythm and style. Sometimes, I don't care about the lyrics as long as the beat is nice.

I put it on for my little sister and she likes it quite a bit. She dances to it as well.

My favourite version is UB40. I love the way it starts with that loudest beat that gives the kick, well, music does give me kick lol

I could listen to it over and over again.

I have heard it only once. All because I do not prefer Hollywood songs much. O still prefer Bollywood Hindi songs.

Believe it or not this song originally was written, performed and recorded by Neil Diamond and is about drinking red wine to forget your problems. I think somebody after that, did it in a raggae way with the sound rhythms and then the band UB40(english raggae and pop band that everybody remembers) recorded it in 1983 again.

I admit, I have never listened to this song. I even did not know a song called Red red wine. I just checked this song on youtube and I really liked. The song from the album "Labour of Love" by the artist UB40 was released in 1983, long before I was born. Still it touched my heart. Thanks for introducing this song to me.

If I’m not mistaken, this Red, Red Wine was popular in the late 1970s or so. I can still remember the sound of the small drum and I can imagine the rapid pace of the hands in hitting theose drums. I don’t know if that song had hit the charts but since I remember it so that means it was played on the radio over and over. By the way, I was always listening to music on my transistor radio when I was young.
