We (me and some of my best friends) are with this fixed idea in our minds lately.

It all began as a conversation with no ambitions, but the subject is taking a great shape and we are very excited about the idea. I think it's gonne be awesome and I already imagine us doing some pretty good shows outhere! :cool:

I wish you all the best, Shine :D

As for myself, I can't say that I ever have. I reckon the closest thing we've ever gotten to a rock band was when we'd all get together and play Rock Band on the PS3.

Me and some other friends have met this week and things are happening, little by little... But they are. :) I have to say that we are very excited about this idea. About the PS3: I love to play "Rock Band", it's super cool! :D

Probably too many times to actually try and recall how they went, but poorly can sum it all up I suppose. It would be nice but the logistics are actually very difficult and takes some time, and more talent.

@Shine_Spirit Do you guys write your own lyrics? If so, do you do so as a group or is there one person in particular that's the writer?
@Rey That's awesome! They're making it happen :D

@Lord Stark Yes, we write our own lyrics (and it's so nice! :cool:). In general, we usually write the lyrics as a group (and we have already had good results :)), but I am responsible (alone) for some songs.

I've always wanted one but I never had bandmates that would share the same goals/ideas as me, so we tend to just jam casually together. Over time we've been considered in the rehearsal studio we go to and we've decided to have an official name for our casual band. The thing is, it never pushed through either because nobody could agree on one name, so every time we would go to the studio we would have a different band name lmao.

This thread reminds me of a funny anecdote. My nephew is a little spoiled with his grandma such that when he planned to have a rock band, he got his new drum set. When I went to their house afterwards, I was surprised to see his new look with long hair. Indeed he is a rocker, all right. But when I asked his grandma how’s the band doing, so sad. His band mates don’t know how to carry a tune. So there, it’s not easy to organize a band huh.

When I was younger, I always wanted to be a drummer in a band. But my parents didn't want me to because I'm a girl... But you know what? It doesn't matter anymore now! I'm taking drumming and guitar lessons and I'll form a band :)

I thought about it when I was a kid but then when I realized how hard it is and how much practice you have to do. I was more into sports growing up than music but now I play music just for fun.

actually yes.. I remember it perfectly when I was working on my previous job.. that time me and my friends in the same office were invited to play some songs on ours office event.. it was just a very very small event but it really was a good feeling. I also remember to have wore ripped rocker jeans.. and drink a bunch of beers before playing.. well we didn't suck playing songs.. but we did make our audience sing with us. it was a great moment for me and made me think of wanting to join a band. but back in reality I am not really fit to be a band member..

Hell yeah! Totally agree - you do you. Make sure you share your updates here, I want to see!

Many a times I've imagined myself as the front man for a band in my own mind but alas, I've never acted upon it. Probably because I can't actually play instruments...or sing...or be a 'rockstar' lol. I can certainly be the front man of a band dedicated to enjoying rock music and turnign the volume up. You're all more than welcome to join me in that one!
