I had seen the first Asia’s Got Talent competition on tv. I think it was the 2014 episode where the winner was Penumbra Gamma of the Philippines. The runner up was a Mongolian orchestra which I did not catch the name. They were 6 in the group with string instruments and a percussion. But it appeared that they were using their voices more than the instruments. In the interview, one band member said that their traditional orchestra creates music from the throat which is more of humming although there’s also some lyrics. Indeed, the world has a variety of musical creations and styles.
