This is a joke among the young generation during my time. When we hear classical music, we would make a face and say we are getting old. But in fairness to classical music, they are lasting because until now the music of the 1950s and 1960s are still playing in some radio stations. So I guess classical music is not just for the old folks but also for some younger folks.

Yeah haha- it kind of is,for the older folks, but they would let you listen to it(younger folks)because there are no laws against young people turning on some classical music. I think young people like obnoxious kinds of music(punk and rap for example) though-you know the music their parents cannot stand. As we get older though we become more mature emotionally and find Jazz and classical more mature I would say.

Nope. Classical music is for all ages. I only like listening to it when it's performed live though. I can't listen to it through just speakers at home. It has to be live.

I think classical music is being preferred these days for many reasons. The modern and the noisy music has it's set of issues. So the people from all generations are going for the classical music. Don't be surprised if people from 2020 onwards are going to listen to 1970 music. They would love that simple music for sure.

I think this is a common misconception and some who belong in the younger generation have this kind of idea. I, on the other had, is used to listening to this kind of music because my parents are so into this, thus I learned to appreciate and love this too. I am 24 now, but I have listened and loved classical music ever since I was kid. The feelings they bring whenever I tune into them is just really different, and the calming effect they have can never be compared to the other genres out there.

I wish I too had the pleasure of experiencing classical music live, but unfortunately, it is not a common thing here in my place compared to rock bands or EDM.

Definitely for all ages. However, you usually only listen to classical music when you're trying to relax or something.

No. Music is generally for all ages. I like listening to classical everytime Im bothered or stressed out. I also listen to classical music while Im solving some mathematical equations. That way it helps my mind relax and functions well.

My kids all want to listen to classical music. My youngest would actually go inside my room whenever I play the 5th of Beethoven. The universal appeal of classical music I believe is not just among races, but includes the range inclusive of age.
